Setting up your AWAIR Indoor Air Quality Monitor

Follow the instructions below to set up your device at home
How To Set Up Your AWAIR device:
1.
AWAIR Element should be setup indoors and will require a three-pronged electrical wall outlet for the power adapter to be plugged into.
2.
Download the free AWAIR App from Apple App Store or Google Play Store onto your smart phone or tablet (iOS 9 or later or Android 4.4 or later)
3.
Ensure that you have Wifi connection and that your mobile device Bluetooth is ON.
4.
Plug the AWAIR Element device and make sure that the blue indicator light in the upper right-hand corner of the display starts to blink.  This indicates that the system is ready to be paired via Bluetooth to your mobile device.
5.
Open the AWAIR App and create a login account using your email address.  Follow the in-app instruction to begin pairing the app with your AWAIR Element device.  The status indicator light on your AWAIR Element will change to purple once the device is paired via Bluetooth.
6.
Connect the AWAIR Element with your home’s WiFi network.    If you encounter difficulties connecting, reboot your AWAIR by unplugging it for 20 seconds and plug it back in to turn on the device again.  If the device does not automatically reconnect to your WiFi press and hold the reset button (red arrow in this image) for 15 seconds or until you see the blue LED light on the front display of the device.  All preferences previously saved on your AWAIR will be deleted but your account information will not be removed and the historical data that you had is backed up on the server.  After this, open the AWAIR app and click on the + symbol to get started
7.
Finish onboarding your device by naming your AWAIR Element, specifying the room that your device will operate in, and identifying your specific health interests.
8.
At the end of this process, you should have been able to successfully setup your AWAIR Element device.
Please note:
AWAIR Element requires constant WiFi connection to function as it uses it to regularly send air quality information to the cloud server and relays data back to your device via the app.  When disconnected from WiFi, the AWAIR app will appear grey and the light on the device will begin blinking.  Any integrations and other preferences will be saved if the system is disconnected from the internet.    For more information on the AWAIR Element air quality monitoring device, visit this website: https://www.getawair.com/products/element
