Badminton
Playing badminton is a great way to have fun and stay healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. Badminton is appropriate for all ages with children requiring supervision by adults. There will be equipment and a court provided – grab a friend and have a practice on the badminton court.
Basketball
Basketball involves a lot of starting and stopping. While not renowned as an aerobic sport, it is still a great workout that can help you improve fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination, improve balance and coordination, and improve physical fitness, speed and agility. Basketball is appropriate for all ages with children requiring supervision by adults. We have some local clubs providing taster sessions:

Karate is a Japanese martial art, originally designed as a civilian defence training. Karate is appropriate for all ages with children requiring supervision by adults. We have some local clubs providing taster sessions:
Mindfulness
Mindfulness meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body. Mindfulness classes will be delivered in 15/30 minute taster sessions meaning if you miss the start of a class, you can join the next one not long after! Mindfulness is appropriate for individuals that are 16+. Note that classes have set capacities so spaces available on a first come first served basis.
Short Tennis
Short tennis, a tennis class for everyone! Also known as short-court tennis or mini tennis which is played on half the court but twice the fun! Short Tennis is appropriate for all ages with children requiring supervision by adults. There will be equipment and a court provided – grab a friend and have a practice on the short tennis court.
Squash
Squash is a fun and challenging contest of agility, strategy, talent, and mental and physical strength. It is an incredibly beneficial game for health and fitness, and has been voted the number one healthiest sport by Forbes Magazine. Squash is appropriate for all ages with children requiring supervision by adults. There will be equipment and a court provided – grab a friend and have a practice on the squash court.
Table Tennis
Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using small rackets. Table tennis is appropriate for all ages with children requiring supervision by adults. There will be equipment and a table provided – grab a friend and have a practice on the table tennis table.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for defence training, health benefits, and meditation. Tai Chi classes will be delivered in 15/30 minute taster sessions meaning if you miss the start of a class, you can join the next one not long after! Tai Chi is appropriate for individuals that are 16+.

Toddler’s World Bouncy Castle
A Bouncy Castle has been set up for toddlers to have a jump and play. The Bouncy Castle is appropriate for toddlers and young children, with all children needing to be supervised at all times by an adult.
Yoga
Loosen up and let go. Our mix of Yoga classes feature a range of exercises from energetic, full-body workouts to relaxing, more traditional poses. Yoga classes will be delivered in 15/30 minute taster sessions meaning if you miss the start of a class, you can join the next one not long after! Yoga is appropriate for individuals that are 16+.

Zumba
Dance yourself fit! Our range of Dance Aerobics classes combine exercise and choreography with infectious music to keep you motivated every step of the way. Zumba classes will be delivered in 15/30 minute taster sessions meaning if you miss the start of a class, you can join the next one not long after! Zumba is appropriate for all ages, with children requiring supervision by adults.

Open Swimming
Swimming’s a great way to have fun and get healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. At Kensington Leisure Centre there are three Swimming Pools. A 25m competition pool, 20m teaching pool and leisure pool. You will have open access to the pools to practice and play.
Note that under 8’s and non swimmers must be accompanied in the water by an adult. One adult can supervise maximum of 2 under 8’s or non swimmers.
Adult & Baby/Toddler Swimming Lesson
Swimming’s a great way to have fun and get healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. We will be running a special lesson for adults and their babies/toddlers in the teaching pool where parents can support introducing their babies/toddlers to the water. This class is appropriate for all levels. It is a requirement that each child must be accompanied by one adult.

Adult Swimming Lesson
Swimming’s a great way to have fun and get healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. We will be running a special lesson for adults wanting to learn to swim. This class is appropriate for beginners. An adult swimming class for learners and improvers. Whether you are getting in for the first time or refreshing and improving your swimming skills.

Junior Swimming Lesson
Swimming’s a great way to have fun and get healthy, whatever your age or level of ability. We will be running a special lesson for juniors between 5-10 wanting to practice their swimming. This class is appropriate for beginners. Teaching learners and improvers the essential swimming skills to ensure they learn to be safe in and around water.

Adult Gym
Keeping fit and active in the gym will benefit you both physically and mentally. With a qualified instructor present for all of the sessions, and an induction prior to the session mandatory for all participants, get active in the gym!
Note that gym access requires health check and induction with fitness instructor to be completed first. This can be arranged on the day and there is no need to book in advance.
Junior Gym
Junior Gym benefits 11 to 15 year olds both physically and mentally, as well as providing a safe space to meet new friends. With a qualified instructor present for all of the sessions and an induction prior to the session mandatory for all participants, get your teenager active at Junior Gym.
Note that gym access requires health check and induction with fitness instructor to be completed first, and juniors will require signed parental consent on the day. This can be arranged on the day and there is no need to book in advance.
