Free non-executive director training opportunity

We are offering up to ten residents a place on a non-executive directors training course. This could be a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has an interest in joining the Notting Dale Heat board, a school board, a charitable board, or general personal development.

Residents do not need to complete the training course to apply to the paid positions on the Notting Dale Heat Board.

NOVA is a registered charity that has been supporting committed and motivated individuals to develop their skills, confidence and employment potential since 1983.

Nova can help you with a wide range of pre-employment information, advice and guidance services to help you prepare, look for and find work. They provide help finding courses, volunteering opportunities and work placements. All their Advice and Guidance services are free of charge

Resident Engagement Assistant

Our Resident Engagement Assistant will support the Senior Resident Engagement Lead in the management and delivery of the Lancaster West refurbishment co-design programme – including event support, administration and directly liaising with residents to collect feedback. 

As we embark on a multi-million-pound refurbishment programme to ensure that Lancaster West is a model 21st century estate, effective and active communication is vital. 

This job will require someone who is committed to transforming Lancaster West Estate for and with its residents, can work flexible hours as needed, and can manage changing volumes of work.

What are we offering?

We are offering Lancaster West residents a confidential space to discuss aspects of your career with an accredited career coach.  

What can we help with?

These sessions can help to: 
• Increase your awareness of opportunities and career decision making 
• Overcome redundancy if you are at risk or recently made redundant 
• Develop the skills to manage new situations as your career changes through different life stages • Return to work after a period of unemployment or a career change

What do the sessions include?

You will have an introduction session to enable self-understanding, followed by 2 to 3 sessions to explore and form self-strategies and future plans.
