The Energy Centre will produce heat using an Air Source Heat Pump. The heat pump draws heat from air using electricity, the heat warms up water that is pumped through underground pipes to each home.
Kensington & Chelsea council will own the energy company which operates the heat network and energy centre. The energy company will be managed by a board, which will include two local future heat network customers. The role of the residents is to represent heat network customers.
We will be designing the energy centre with residents in 2022.
