We committed to:
- Delivering a heat network in Notting Dale that will rely solely on renewable heat sources, delivering heat to the estate and other homes and buildings.
- Installing solar panels where feasible to provide affordable renewable electricity to homes and communal spaces, protecting residents from fuel poverty.
- Delivering EV charging points in multiple locations on the estate.
Progress as of August 2026…
- Installed solar PV panels on Camelford Court, Treadgold, and Bramley. From 2023 to Jul 2026, there has been 73.7MWh generated by the solar PV at Camelford Court, saving roughly 14.5tCO2e, enough electricity to power around 10 average two-bedroom flats for a year.*
- We have secured £35,000 of funding to install EV charging points on the estate, supporting residents to make the switch to an electric vehicle.
- 100% of Notting Dale Heat Network’s buried primary network has now been built with secondary network construction underway.
- We have engaged with over 200 residents on the energy centre locations and designs.
- We ran a thermal comfort pilot in homes that had not yet been refurbished to reassure residents that the heat network will operate at the expected capacity. Residents found that homes remained warm and comfortable using the new heating system, with nearly 94% of participants rating its performance as acceptable, good or excellent.
Actions we will take
- The next stages of the Heat Network programme will include developing the secondary and tertiary systems. We will continue to communicate our timescales with residents.
- Explore the possibility of delivering solar PV panels on more sites.
- Continue to seek additional funding opportunities to expand EV charging infrastructure in the future.
