Morland House and Talbot Grove House Phase 3 survey results revealed!

Thank you to all residents who completed the final detailed designs survey, winter 2023/24.

You gave us your preferences on windows, roof tiles and more! We have collected the results and can now reveal your chosen opinions.
 
71% of Morland House and Talbot Grove House residents were involved in the Phase 3 engagement. 

That brings total engagement for these blocks over the 3 phases of co-design to 87% overall, with 92% Morland House and Talbot Grove House residents reporting they are supportive of the refurbishment.

Finalising the detailed design for your home and block

In our ongoing commitment to refurbish Lancaster West Estate into a 21st century carbon-neutral estate, we are now at a stage where we are ready to begin confirming your definite choices and preferences for the final design of your home and block. 
Here we would like you to give us your preferences and choices for the refurbishment of your block prior to us going submitting the designs for planning permission. 
Your response will inform the final design of your block. Once we have residents’ feedback, we will analyse the information and share the results with you. Survey closes at midnight on  Sunday 14 January 2024.

Final detailed designs webinar: Morland House and Talbot Grove House

In December 2023 Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team invited residents from Morland House and Talbot Grove House to join an online webinar to find out more about the phase 3 refurbishment of their homes: Final detailed designs. 
As part of the resident co-design process architects Rider Levett Bucknall presented residents with information on the final choices to be made to their blocks and homes to help them complete their preferences survey.

Final detailed design engagement events

Thank you to all Morland House and Talbot Grove House residents who contributed to the resident engagement for Phase 2 of the external refurbishment for your block. 
We would now like to get your feedback on final detailed designs of your block and home, so you are invited to the following engagements: 
An open house event  Monday 11 December 3:30 -7pm 32 Morland House 
This will be a chance to see a flat that has been fully refurbished, including new windows, ventilation system and more. Refreshments will be available 
A webinar event  Wednesday 13 December 5:30 - 6:30pm https://bit.ly/3TckB6q
The recording of this event will be available on Youtube in the next few days. 
At both events you will have the opportunity to discuss the different options with LWNT and the architects.

Morland House & Talbot Grove House Phase 2 Refurbishment Survey Results

Thank you to all Morland House and Talbot Grove House residents who responded to the Emerging Preferences and Choices survey. We asked residents to give their preferences on windows, external wall insulation, and more. Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team have collected the votes and we can now reveal the winning options.
76% of residents completed the survey. 
We proposed. Residents chose… 
Windows: Heritage Sash  External & Internal Frame: White. Frame Material Mixed results. To be decided in phase 3 External facade: Match existing brick facade

Thank you to all Morland House and Talbot Grove House residents who attended our recent Emerging Preferences and Choices Webinar on Tuesday 15 and in-person drop-in on Thursday 17 February. 
It was great speaking to you and hearing about your choices. If you haven't already done so, please make your choices for Phase 2 of your refurbishment by Friday 4 March. You can do so by filling in our online survey, or by returning the paper survey we sent you by dropping it into one of the new “LWNT” silver survey boxes outside of your block.

Your Refurb. Your Choice: Morland and Talbot Grove House initial refurbishment ideas meeting

On Thursday 25th February, the Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team held an online meeting with residents of Morland House and Talbot Grove House on the Lancaster West Estate. We discussed the initial plans for refurbishment works on the blocks. Residents had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers from the architects ECD.

Morland House

An incredible 82% of residents from Morland House contributed to this top ten list of priorities for the upcoming refurbishment for their block. Security was a concern for residents as they put making the courtyard safer, installing video entry system and CCTV on their list of priorities for the upcoming refurbishment.   

Talbot Grove House

An incredible 81% of residents from Talbot Grove House contributed to this top ten list of priorities for the upcoming refurbishment for their block. Residents were also highly engaged during workshops and follow-up phone calls. Replacing the windows, internal decoration and kitchens were the top three priorities
